Even Peterson
Funeral services for Even Peterson were held at 1 o’clock at the Fjelstul and Ness funeral home in Decorah and at 2 o’clock at the Madison Lutheran church Friday afternoon. The pastor, Rev. M. B. Quill officiated. The pall bearers were Jim Burns, Henry Waldt, Elling Fretheim, Olaf Amundson, John Hovden and W. H. Gilson.
Mr. Peterson passed waya{sp} on Tuesday afternoon at 3:30 p. m. at the age of 70 years. He had been in poor helath{sp} for some time.
Mr. Peterson, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Holver Peterson was born in Madison township on December 13, 1869. On October 15, 1907 he was united in marriage to Miss Ida Borseth and they made their home in Madison township until five years ago when they moved to Decorah where they have resided since.
He is survived by his wife and seven children, Mrs. Harry Amunson of Ridgeway, Mrs. Anton Stegan and Elvin Peterson of Dolliver, Ia., Ove, Inez, Lillian and Arlene at home. His parents and two sisters preceded him in death.
Much sympathy is extended to the family, relatives and many friends in their hour of sorrow.
Relatives from a distance attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Anton Stegan and daughter, Elvin Peterson, all of Dolliver, Ia., Mrs. Marie Moe, Melvin Selmer and Earl Moe of Waukon, Louie Borseth of Waukon, Ia., and Emil Borseth of Cresco, Ia.
