Miss Helen Malek, 19, passed away at her home two miles southeast of Ridgeway Friday morning after an illness of several months. Funeral services were held at St. Wenceslaus church of Spillville at 10 o’clock Monday morning with Rev. Hlubek officiating. Interment was made in the cemetery adjoining the church. Helen, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Malek, was born in Howard county, near Cresco, Iowa, Aug. 18, 1917. Fifteen years ago she came to Lincoln township with her parents, two brothers, Ralph and Clarence at home and two sisters, Miss Evelyn Malek of Mason City and Louise at home. She will also be greatly missed by a large number of friends and relatives who mourn her departure. Much sympathy is extended to the family in the loss of a loving daughter and sister.
