Joseph Kruchek

Funeral services for Joseph Kruchek Sr., 77, were held Thursday morning at 10 o’clock at St. Wenceslaus church, Rev. V. J. Hlubek officiated at the Mass of Requiem and Rev. J. P. Broz delivered the sermon. Mr. Kruchek died Monday, Dec. 27, at his home after an illness of several months, during which time he was confined to his bed. He was born April 28, 1960 near Spillville. He was united in marriage in 1884 to Mary Polansky who preceded him in death in February, 1937.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Anna Shindelar, Mrs. Rose Loesch and Mrs. Mary Kubik all of near Spillville and one son Joseph of Calmar; also thirteen grandchildren. Two sisters, Mrs. Frank Tupy of Protivin and Mrs. Joe Jarosh of Little Turkey. Pallbearers were six of his grandchildren, Louis, John and James Shindelar, Ed and Clarence Loesch and Jerry Kruchek.
