Mathias V. Kinkor

Funeral services for Mathias V. Kinkor, 74, were held at the St. Wenceslaus church at Spillville on Saturday, Dec. 23, 1944. The Rev. Alphonse Biskup offered the requiem mass.

Mathias V. Kinkor was born in Sumner twp. Feb. 4, 1870, and died after a year’s illness on Dec. 20, at his farm home where he had lived all his life.

He is survived by his wife, the former Rosa Voyek, whom he married June 27, 1893; four sons: Jos., of Ridgeway; Frank of Protivin; Mike at home; Clarence of the U.S. Navy, Pensacola, Fla., and five daughters: (Marie) Mrs. Richard Bouska, Sioux Narrows, Can.; (Frances) Mrs. Frank T. Chyle of Protivin; Lillian and Lucy at home, (Rose) Mrs. Cyril Jirak, Jackson Junction. He is also survived by five grandsons, the oldest of whom Norman J. Kinkor is in the army and has recently left for overseas. His only brother, Frank preceded him in death in 1912.

Pall bearers at the funeral were Anton Chvatal, Frank Pecka, Joe Frey, Jos. Frana, Jos. Kruchek and John Korbel, all members of the Catholic Workmen to which deceased also belonged.
