Amund Hovden

Funeral services for Amund Hovden , 60, a lifelong resident of Lincoln township, who passed away Saturday, will be held at the Madison Lutheran church, Wednesday afternoon, at 2 o’clock. The pastor, Rev. M. B. Quill will officiate and interment will be in the cemetery adjoining the church.

Amund Hovden, the son of Geo. and Ragne Hovden was born in Lincoln township on June 1, 1878. He grew to young manhood there and Oct. 29, 1901 was united in marriage to Miss Clara Larson. They made their home on a farm one mile west of Ridgeway, where he has lived since.

He is survived by three sons, Otto, Reuben and Claire, and one daughter Gladys (Mrs. Herbert Kratz) of Lincoln township and the following brothers and sisters: Randina (Mrs. Ole Magnus) of Ridgeway; Elsie (Mrs. Hegle) of Flandreau, S. D.; Steen of Ridgeway; Olavus of Lincoln township; Gilbert of Lincoln township; Inga, (Mrs. Lew Rue) of Lincoln and Teddy of Thief River Falls, Minn. Two brothers, John G. and Otto preceded him in death. His wife preceded him in death 23 years ago.

Much sympathy is extended to the children, the brothers and sisters, and other relatives and friends who mourn his departure.
