Mrs. Arne Guttormson

Funeral services for Mrs. Arne Guttormson, who passed way Saturday were held Tuesday afternoon at 1 o’clock at the home and at 1:30 o’clock at the Madison Lutheran church with the Rev. M. B. Quill officiating. Interment was made in the Madison cemetery. Mrs. Guttormson, nee Marthea Olson was born in Norway on Feb. 10, 1860. Shortly after her marriage to Arne Guttormson in Sept., 1882, she came to this country and to Ridgeway, accompanied by a sister. She was joined by her husband the following spring. Since coming to this country she has resided in Winneshiek county. Her husband preceded her in death in 1931. She leaves to mourn her departure three sons, Casper, of Madison twp., Albert of Decorah and Hjalmer of Decorah twp; four daughters, Mrs. Helmer Engen of Madison twp., Mrs. John Vine and Mrs. E. F. Bakken of Decorah and Mrs. John Cross of Charles City. Much sympathy is extended to the above in their loss.
