Rose Sharp, 79, services held

Funeral services for Rose Sharp of Decorah were held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 1, at St. Benedict’s Catholic Church with interment in St. Benedict Cemetery, both in Decorah. The Rev. Gary Krapfl officiated. French and Balik Funeral Home handled the arrangements.

Rose, 79, died on Tuesday, August 28, 2001 at the Winneshiek County Memorial Hospital in Decorah following a short illness.

She is survived by three sons: Duane of Montezuma, Merlin of Indianola, and Gary of University Place, WA; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and three sisters: Regina Weber of Hampton, Alice Hemesath of Decorah, and Frannie Syverson also of Decorah.
