Robert John Pavlovec
Robert John, “Bobby” son of John and Rose Pavlovec, was born at Fort Atkinson December 13, 1934. He was baptized in infancy in the Catholic faith by Father Dostal of Ft. Atkinson. When but a baby, he was afflicted with an illness that left his heart in a very weak condition. His mother died when he was not quite a year old. He was soon taken to the Decorah Hospital where he spent three months. From there he came to live with Mr. and Mrs. John Lunningdal and family where he has spent the remaining few years.
In February 1941, he was stricken with rheumatic fever and since that time has been bed ridden.
About six weeks before his passing, Father Dostal made two calls and he received the Sacrament of Extreme Unction. He was a patient sufferer and was talking of the things he would do when he was better. But he gradually grew weaker and the Angel of Death took him home away from all suffering and pain on July 15, 1941.
The deceased is survived by his father, John Pavlovec, two sisters, Helen and Emma, one brother, Richard, also other relatives and Mr. and Mrs. John Lunningdal, with whom he has made his home for the past five years, together with a host of friends.
The flower girls were Leone Martin and Rose Mary Reicks and the flower boys were Joseph Rausch and David Dean Bulgren.
Pallbearers were Robert John Walsh, David Anderson, Charles McCabe, Marvin Leseth, Gene Chihak and Willis McGee.
The Rev. Father Laurence read the Mass of Angels and officiated at the grave side in the St. John’s cemetery at Ft. Atkinson.
