Services held for Mathilda Lensing

Funeral services for Mathilda R. Lensing of Festina were held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 14, at Our Lady of Seven Dolors Catholic Church with interment in Our Lady of Seven Dolors Catholic Church Cemetery, both in Festina. The Msgr. Cletus Hawes officiated. French Funeral Home handled the arrangements.

Mathilda, 95, died on Wednesday, July 11, 2001 at the Ossian Senior Hospice in Ossian following a lengthy illness.

She is survived by four sons: Gabriel of Torrence, CA, Vince of Decorah, James of Fort Atkinson, and Stan of Decorah; three daughters: Loretta Russell of North Pole, AK, Lillian Gerdes of Tucson, AZ, and Judy Mae Lensing of Des Moines; and one sister: Regina Burr of Garnavillo.
