Christie Klimesh, 28, services held

Funeral services for Christie Klimesh of Spillville were held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 29 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church n Spillville with Rev. Donald Hawes officiating. Interment was in St. Wenceslaus Catholic Cemetery in Spillville. Pallbearers were: Jim Baker, Rich Smith, Larry Menne, Dan Klimesh, Tom Klimesh, and Dale Goettleman. Balik Funeral Home handled the arrangements.

Christie, 28, died Friday, October 26, 2001 at her home in Spillville.

Christie Anne Klimesh was born April 21, 1973 in Decorah, the daughter of Peter and Theresa (Loesch) Klimesh. She attended and graduated from Decorah High School. Christie has lived in Decorah and worked for McDonald’s for the last 10 years.

Christie enjoyed her cat, going bowling, and car racing.

She is survived by her parents: Peter and Theresa Klimesh of Spillville; one brother: Michael of Spillville; grandmothers: Mildred Loesch of Benischek,{sic} Oxford Junction and Irene Klimesh of Spillville.

Christie was preceded in death by her grandfathers: Clarence Loesch, Otto Klimesh, and step grandfather: Hermon Benischek.
