Mrs. Spencer Haga

Funeral services for Mrs. Spencer Haga of Lincoln twp., were held at 1:30 o’clock at the home and at 2 o’clock at the Madison Lutheran church on Wednesday afternoon. Rev. Quill officiated and interment was in the adjoining cemetery.

Mrs. Haga passed away at her home near Ridgeway, Sunday, Oct. 12, after an extended illness.

Mrs. Haga, nee Marguerite Ellen Young, the daughter of Dick and Alberta Young was born in Canoe twp., Winneshiek county, Sept. 14, 1914. She was baptized and confirmed in St. John’s Lutheran church at Locust. In this community she grew to womanhood and on Feb. 3, 1937 was united in marriage to Spencer Haga.

She leaves to mourn her departure her husband, her parents, and two brothers, Arthur and Milton, both of Winneshiek county. One bother {sic} preceded her in death.

Mrs. Haga was a member of the Madison Lutheran church and dearly beloved by all who knew her for her lovable character.
