Mrs. John Wildman

Funeral services for Mrs. John B. Wildman who died at her home in Monticello, Minn., June 10, 1941, were held Friday afternoon in the Community church at Monticello. Cresco relatives attending were Mr. and Mrs. Al Wildman, Mrs. Bertha Nichols, Jean Nichols, Mrs. Eugenia Becker and Howard Wildman.

Others from a distance were Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Crane, Decorah, Ia.; Mrs. Cordelia Dawley, Canton, Minn.; Mrs. Emily J. Olson, Canton, Minn., and Mrs. Eliabeth{sic} Erickson, Harmony, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Harry Buckmaster and daughter Vera, St. Cloud, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Archie Ring, Maple Lake, Minn.

Mary Elizabeth Crane was born Oct. 22, 1873, in Decorah, Iowa. Her parents were Edward and Emma Crane. She died at Monticello, Minn., June 10, 1941, at the age of 67 years.

She lived and went to school at Decorah and later taught school for five years in northern Iowa. On March 23, 1898, she married John B. Wildman. They had their home in Cresco until in 1910, when they moved to Monticello, where the rest of her life was spent.

To them were born six children: Egbert, Emma, who was Mrs. Geo. Buckmaster and who died in 1936; Floy, Mrs. John Bell; Martha, Mrs. Raymond Kutz; Donald and Dorothy, Mrs. Melvin Moores. There are 21 grandchildren.

She is also survived by her husband, a brother Arthur E. Crane of Decorah and four sisters: Mrs. Emily Olson and Mrs. Cordelia Dawley, Canton, Minn.; Mrs. Martha Howard, Monticello, Minn.; and Mrs. Elizabeth Erickson, Harmony, Minn.

She was one of the founders of the South Dakota Prairie club and was secretary of that organization for a long time. She was a member of the Pythian Sisters and of the Community church of Monticello.
