Funeral services for Henry L. Wemark, who passed away at the Decorah hospital Sunday after an illness of several weeks, will be held at the home at 1:00 o’clock and at the Lincoln Lutheran church at 2 o’clock Wednesday afternoon. The pastor, Rev. M. B. Quill will officiate.

Henry L. Wemark, the son of Levi and Rachael Wemark was born in Winneshiek county on April 20, 1871. He received his education in the rural schools of Lincoln township and in Valders college in Decorah. In June 1899, he was united in marriage to Miss Matilda Bakken and they made their home on a farm in Lincoln township where he has lived since.

Mr. Wemark held several offices in the community serving as secretary for the Lincoln Lutheran church, secretary of the Lincoln Creamery Co., and secretary of the Lincoln telephone company for several years. He also took an active interest in politics.

He is survived by three sons, Harry, Leonard and Maurice, all of Ridgeway, one daughter, Julia Wemark, who is teaching at Traer, three grandchildren, one brother, John at Kenmare, N. C., and one sister, Mrs. Tilda Bakken of Waubun, Minn. He was preceded in death by his wife, who passed away in 1936, and by one daughter. Much sympathy is extended to the family, the many friends and relatives who mourn his departure.
