Kuboushek, Dolores Catherine (Timp) 1920-2010

Dolores Kuboushek, age 89, of Spillville, IA died Monday, February 15, 2010 at the Aase Haugen Home in Decorah, IA after a long illness.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 20, 2010 at the St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Spillville, IA with Rev. Donald Hawes presiding burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be on Friday from 3:00 – 7:00 at the Balik Funeral Home in Spillville, IA with a rosary at 4:00 and a scripture service at 6:00. There will also be visitation at the church after 10:00 on Saturday

Dolores Catherine (Timp) Kuboushek was born the daughter of Theodore and Ida (Holthaus) Timp on October 3, 1920, on the family farm south of Calmar, Iowa. Dolores attended St. Aloysius Catholic School in Calmar. She married Raymond Kuboushek on May 13, 1947, at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Calmar. Together they farmed near Conover for many years. Dolores enjoyed gardening, reading and keeping track of family history. She was a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, where she was a CCD teacher and was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.

Dolores is survived by two sons: Keith Kuboushek, Ridgeway, IA; Allan (Judy) Kuboushek, Ridgeway, IA; Six daughters: Carol Magel, Springfield, IL; Juanita (Bill) Adams, Spillville, IA; Donna (Dennis) Mracek, Protivin, IA; Chrisanne (Steve) Alber, Cedar Rapids, IA; and Lolita (Bruce) Adams, Waucoma, IA; and Sandra (DeeJay) Oblander, Spillville, IA, along with twenty one grandchildren: Alison (Taylor) Wilson, Nathan Magel, Benjamin (Katrina) Adams, Samantha Adams, Aimee (Darby) Wesley, Amanda Jirak, Jeff (Katie) Mracek, Sara (Craig) Neuzil, Jacob (Holly) Kuboushek, Erin (Kory) Jacobsen, Lucas (Katie) Kuboushek, Jamie Alber, Nicholas (Whitney) Alber, Joshua Adams, Mason Adams, Sara Adams, Malyssa Oblander, Raymond Oblander, Ashley Oblander, David Oblander, and Krista Oblander. Eighteen great grandchildren: Norah Wilson, Harper Wilson, Simone Wesley, DeAngelo Wesley, Macy Mracek, Aubrey Mracek, Helen Neuzil, Celia Neuzil, Charlie Kuboushek, Harper Kuboushek, Keana Jacobsen, Treyton Jacobsen, Alexa Jacobsen, Ty Jacobsen, Oliver Kuboushek, Mia Kuboushek, Addyson Alber, and Brayden Alber. One sister: Arlene Bohr, Cresco, IA. Three sisters-in-law: Elsie Timp, Calmar, IA; Christine (Herb) Rausch Ft. Atkinson, IA; and Laura Kuboushek, Calmar, IA. Two brothers-in-law: Ted Schmitt, Decorah, IA and Rudy Gerleman, Decorah, IA.

Dolores was preceded in death by her parents: Theodore and Ida (Holthaus) Timp. Her husband: Raymond Kuboushek in 1992. Twin children at birth: Gary and Mary Kuboushek. One sister: Seraphia (Paul) Tekippe. Two brothers: Vendolin (Rita) Timp and Donald Timp. Brothers-in-law Wilfred Bohr, Robert Kuboushek. Sisters-in-law Mildred (Edward) Silhacek, Marcella Schmitt, Viola (Frank) Meyer and Wilma Gerleman.
