Mrs. B. Sorenson Died Saturday; Funeral Today

Mrs. Susan Jane Sorenson passed away at the family home in Pleasant township, Saturday afternoon Sept. 10 at 1:45, death being due to bronchial pneumonia.

Susan Dinger was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Peter Dinger, and was born in Pleasant township on Sept. 7, 1890.

She was united in marriage to Bendick Sorenson on Dec. 19, 1906. Eleven children were born to the union, ten of whom survive, eight sons and two daughters, Johnny, and Walter of Black River Falls, Wis., Melvin, Oscar, Sylvester, Irvin, Mrs. Edwin Vick and Clara of Decorah, Raymond and Vernon at home. Her husband also survives and two sisters, Mrs. Albert Lien and Mrs. Ben Duemmer of near Decorah. One sister, Mrs. Albert Peterson, preceded her in death two years ago.

Mrs. Sorenson was a generous kind-hearted woman, a loyal friend and good neighbor. Her death has brought sorrow to the entire community.

The funeral services will be held Tuesday, Sept. 13 from the Winneshiek Burial Association at one; at two o'clock, at the Canoe Ridge church with Rev. A.Bredesen officiating.
