Lottie E. Blue

Lottie E. Blue, daughter of Charles and Melissa Moore, was born at Moneek, near Castalia, July 12, 1881 and passed away at the Novotny Home at Decorah August 2, 1964.

Mrs. Blue was educated in the local schools and grew to womanhood in this vicinity and spent her entire life in this community. On November 10, 1897 she was united in marriage to Delbert Harvey of Castalia. To this union were born 2 children: George, who preceded her in death in 1951 and Mabel, Mrs. Herman Reckward, who resides on a farm near Castalia. Mr. and Mrs. Harvey farmed in this community until they retired to their home in Castalia. Mr. Harvey passed away July 16, 1950.

On August 1, 1951 Mrs. Harvey was united in marriage to Elwood Blue of Castalia. Mr. Blue preceded her in death January 26, 1963.

Mrs. Blue was a member of the Castalia E. U. B. Church. She leaves to mourn her passing one daughter, Mabel of Castalia, 6 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.

Services were held from the Castalia E. U. B. Church Thursday, August 6, with Rev. Curtis H. Webster officiating. Burial was made in the Pleasant View Cemetery at Castalia.
