Elwood Blue

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, January 29, at the E. U. B. church in Castalia for Elwood V. Blue, 88, who passed away at his home in Castalia, Friday, January 25, following a heart attack. The Rev. Curtis Webster was in charge of the rites; burial was in Pleasant View cemetery.

Elwood Varco Blue was born March 31, 1875. He passed away at his home in Castalia on Friday, January 25, 1963.

He was married to Sophia Teppe in 1902; she passed away in 1947. In 1951 he married Lottie Harvey, who survives.

Survivors in addition to his widow include the following children: Clarence, Elmer and Belle of West Union, Earl of Arlington, Vivian, Mrs. Don Smith, of Hudson. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
