Ole Quandahl Rites Held on Friday at Decorah Lutheran

Funeral services for Ole Quandahl, 83, were held Friday, July 29, at 2 p.m. at the Decorah Lutheran Church, the Rev. I.M. Gjellstad officiating. Burial was in Springwater Cemetery with the Steine Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Quandahl died July 26 at University Hospital in Iowa City where he had been a patient for the past month.

The pallbearers were Walter Quandahl, Leonard Quandahl, Levi Quandahl, Charles Quandahl, Harold Quandahl and Albert Richards. Members of the flower committee are Mrs. Levi Quandahl and Mrs. Albert Richards.

Ole Quandahl was born February 11, 1872, in Canoe Township, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lars Quandahl, both deceased. He lived in Winneshiek County most of his life and has been residing with his daghter Mrs. Charley Forde and his son Floyd, both of Burlington, in recent months.

He was married in 1915 to the former Nora Nesheim who died in 1943. Mrs. Forde and Floyd Quandahl were their only children.

Also surviving are two brothers Eddie and Ludvig, both of Decorah. Three brothers and one sister preceded him in death.
