Edna Quandahl funeral today
Mrs. Clyde (Edna) Quandahl, 59, of Canoe township died May 31 at the Winneshiek County Memorial Hospital following a lingering illness.
Funeral services are today (Thursday, June 2) at 2 p.m. at Hauge Lutheran Church with burial in Springwater Lutheran Cemetery. The Rev. Gerhard Brase will officiate, and pallbearers are Robert Peterson, Dean Price, Walter Bender, Palmer Anderson, Wallace Christopherson and Earl Knoke. The organist will be Alan Sensor, and Mrs. Robert Peterson will sing. Arangements are being made by Sensor-French Funeral Home.
Mrs. Quandahl, the former Edna Knoke, was born June 17, 1923 in Canoe Township to Edwin and Gladys (Medberry) Knoke. She attended rural schools and the Mabel, Minn. High School. She was a member of Hauge Lutheran Church, the Hope Circle and the ALCW.
She married Clyde Quandahl Jan. 12, 1946 at services in Burr Oak.
She is survived by her husband; two sons, Mark Quandahl of Decorah and Jerry Quandahl of Corpus Christi, Texas; one grandchild; and two brothers, Edwin Knoke Jr. of Rochester, Minn. and Lyle Knoke of Burr Oak.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and a daughter.
