Ammond G. Jaastad Dead
Ammund G. Jaastad, 52 years old, a farmer whose home was north of Decorah, died last week at Independence. He was a single man and was born in Norway, but had lived in this county many years. Funeral services were held at the Swan & Leytze Funeral parlors Sunday at 1:30 and later at the Springwater church. Burial was in the adjoining cemetery.

Death of Ammon Jaastad
Thursday, Ammon Jaastad died after a siege of severe illness, at Independence, Iowa, where he has been for several years. His foot had given him a great deal of trouble recently. The funeral was held by Rev. Glesne Sunday at Springwater church. The pallbearers were John and Julian Arneson, John B. Jaastad, Ole Usgard, Clarence Olson, and Martin Elllingson.
Among the relatives present: besides the immediate family, who were all here, were Mr. and Mrs. Nels (???)kesvik, Miss Rachel Odson, Joseph Odson, and Mrs. Carsten Smith, all of Decorah.
Ammon Jaastad was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Gunder L Jaastad and is survived by his sister Miss Anna Jaastad and his brothers John, Ben , and Andrew of Decorah
