Funeral services held today for Addie Quandahl

Addie M. Quandahl, 87, of Decorah, died Oct. 24 at Winneshiek Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services are being held today (Tuesday) at 1:30 p.m. at Hauge Lutheran Church where she was a member. Pastor Gerhard Brase is conducting the service and Dennis Young, organist, is accompanying Mr. and Mrs. Harlan Whitney, soloists.

Burial is in Springwater Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers: Roy Davis, Darrel Foltz, Billie Noecker, Dennis Quandahl, Jerry Quandahl and Raymond Quandahl. Steine's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Addie Brandt was born Oct. 26, 1893 in Winneshiek County to Henry and Mary (Russell) Brandt. She attended rural schools and was married to Ludvig Quandahl Jan. 12, 1914 at home. He died in 1957. Mrs. Quandahl lived in Winneshiek County all her life.

She is survived by six childen: Lillie (Mrs. Earl Foltz) of Decorah, Lena (Mrs. Harvey Davis) of Madison, Wisc., Ida (Mrs. Milo Noecker), Clyde Quandahl and Allen Quandahl, all of Decorah and Howard Quandahl, Stoughton, Wisc.; 17 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Jeanette Holkesvik of Decorah, Lydia Sivertsgaard of Waterloo, her twin sister, and Jennie Johnson of Decorah.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother, one sister and two children, Lella and Clem who died in infancy.
