Decorah Public Opinion, March 4, 1925

John S. Quandahl passed away on Saturday at his home in Canoe after a three week illness. The deceased was one of the well known farmers of the county, and was born in Canoe township 56 years ago, where he had farmed all these years. He was a man held in high esteem by all who knew him, always congenial and a man whom it was a pleasure to know.

He is survived by the bereaved wife and four children, besides four brothers, Julius, Edward, Ole and Ludwig and one sister, Mrs. M. Budahl, of Decorah and the sympathy of all is extended to them.

The funeral services were held on Monday at two o'clock from the Springwater church. Rev. O. Glesne of Decorah officiated.
