Narveson Rites Held Sunday In Springwater

Narve C. Narveson, 80, died at his home in Pleasant township Sunday morning, Nov. 8. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Nov. 11, at 1:15 p.m. in the Steine funeral home and at 2:00 p.m. at the Springwater Lutheran church. Interment was in Springwater cemetery. The Rev. I.M. Gjellstad conducted the rites.

Pallbearers were Leonard Severson, Sylvan Severson, Gerhard Hellen, Ransome Bolson, Fred Iverson and Hildor Egge. Mesdames Carl Albertson, Marion Wicks, Radolph Myli and Charles Johnson served as the floral committee.

Mr. Narveson was born December 30, 1872 in Canoe township. His parents were Kolben and Christi Narveson. He received his education in the rural schools. He was married to Marie Erickson March 9, 1898 in the Springwater church.

One brother and four sisters preceded him in death.

He is survived by his wife and four children, Mrs. Walter (Judith) Ruffridge and Mrs. Arnold (Nettie) Soeder of Decorah; Clifford and Carolla Narveson of Pleasant township; two brothers, John and Theodore Narveson both of Decorah; three grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
