Funeral Services Held Saturday for Andrew Jaastad, 80

Funeral services for Andrew Jaastad, 80, of Canoe Township, were held Saturday, Jan. 14, at Springwater Lutheran Church, the Rev. C.A. Sundby officiating. The Steine Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements and burial was in the church cemetery.

Mr. Jaastad died Thursday morning at the Decorah Hospital.

The pallbearers were Otto Severson, Gerald Jaastad, Lloyd Jaastad, Eric Fadness, Levi Sande and Clifford Vine.

Mr. Jaastad was born July 7, 1875, in Canoe Township, the son of Gunder and Gjyre Jaastad. He attended rural schools.

One sister, Anna Jaastad, of Decorah survives. Five brothers and one sister preceded him in death in addition to his parents.
