Audrey Timp, age 86 of Calmar, died Thursday, April 07, 2011 at the Aase Haugen Home in Decorah, IA

Memorial Mass will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 9, 2011 at the St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Calmar, IA. Father Donald Hawes will officiate. Burial will be in the St. Francis de Sales Cemetery in Ossian, IA.

Visitation will be after 10:00 a.m. at the church on Saturday Schluter Balik funeral Home is in Charge of Arrangements

Audrey Katherine Timp was born on August 9, 1924, the daughter of Edward and Emma (Holthaus) Timp, near Calmar, IA. The family moved to Ossian and she was educated at St. Francis DeSales Catholic School. She attended Gates Business College in Waterloo for one year and worked for one year as a secretary at John Deere. She then moved to Sioux City, where she worked for an insurance and real estate company for fifty years. After she retired, she moved to Calmar in 1994 and into the Aase Haugen Nursing Home in 1997. Audrey enjoyed crocheting, playing bridge and sang with choral groups in Sioux City.

Audrey is survived by her two sisters: Cleon Hageman, Calmar, IA and Marlyn (Jim) Willson, Marion, IA, along with many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
