Mildred M. Uhlenhake, age 88, died Sunday, Feb. 20, at her home in Ossian from cancer. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, Feb. 23, at 11 a.m. at St. Francis De Sales Church in Ossian, with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation is from 3 to 8 p.m. at Schmitz-Conway Funeral Home today (Tuesday), where a prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. Survivors include sons: Richard (Colleen), Roger (Denise), Robert (Teresa), and Gene, all of Ossian; and daughters Kristine (Dave) McCormack of Las Vegas, Nev., and Bonnie (Terry) Ehler of Urbandale. Mildred was predeceased by her husband Cletus in 2002, a daughter Jean Ann in 1961, and daughter-in-law Joyce in 2004.
