Funeral services for Ole Loven, 87, were held Monday, Nov. 7, at 1 p.m. at the Steine Funeral Home and at 1:30 p.m. at the First Lutheran Church the Revs B. A. Johnson and R.A. Ofstedal officiating.

Mr. Loven died Thursday, Nov. 3, at the Jule Moe home in Glenwood Township. A retired farmer, he resided at 610 Maple Avenue in Decorah.

The pallbearers were, Arthur Evenrud, Alex Evenrud, Henry Loven, Henry Engrav, Lloyd Engrav, and Carl Engrav. Members of the flower commitee were Mrs. Arthur Evenrud, Mrs. Henry Engrav, Mrs. Melvin Anderson and Mrs. Alfred Rosendahl. The Steine Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Loven was born March 14, 1868, in Norway, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Asalak and Anna Loven, both deceased. He came to the United States and settled in Glenwood Township in 1870.

He attended rural schools in Glenwood Township were he resided until 1939 when he moved to Decorah.

He was married at the Glenwood Lutheran Church to Emma Engrav who died in 1941. They had no children. A niece, Mrs. Jule Moe, made her home with Ole Loven for 12 years prior to her marriage.

Besides his wife and parents, those who preceded him in death included three sisters and two brothers.
