Anna O Loven, 605 5th Ave, Decorah died Oct. 9 at the Eastern Star Nursing Home. She was 86.

Funeral services were held Friday, Oct. 12 at 11 a.m. at Glenwood Lutheran Church where she was a member. The Rev. James K. Jensen officiated the service and organist Ruth Hove accompanied the congregation.

Pallbearers were James Allison, John Allison, Jerome Allison, Jeff Ode, Gordon Gulbranson and Robert Gulbranson. Burial was at the Glenwood Lutheran Cemetery. Arrangements were by the Steine Funeral Home.

Mrs. Loven was born Anna O. Fortun on Jan. 14, 1893, in Glenwood Township to Christopher and Clara Fortun. She attended rural schools in Winneshiek County and Luther Academy for Girls in Albert Lea, Minn.

She was married to Albert Loven in Glenwood on March 4, 1916. He died Oct. 17, 1972. Mrs. Loven lived most of her life in Winneshiek County and lived in Decorah the last 12 years. She was a member of Glenwood Ladies Aide and the Naomi Circle.

She is survived by six children: William Loven, Decorah; Mrs. Leonard (Margaret) Feuerhelm, Waukon; Mrs. James (Irene) Allison, Waukon; Vernon Loven, Salem, Ore.; Roger Loven, Portland, Ore.; and Mrs. Lester (Evelyn) Ode, Decorah.

She is also survived by one sister Mrs. Gustav (Idella) Gulbranson, Spring Valley, Minn., 11 grandchildren and 11 great-granchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a daughter Marion Loven.
