Mrs. Sarah M. Evenrud, 75, of 504 Oak Street died December 9 at the Lutheran Hospital in Lacrosse. Mrs. Evenrud has been employed as an aide at the Decorah Hospital for 29 years and was a life-long resident of Winneshiek County and Decorah.

Pastor Paul Christenson conduccted funeral services for Mrs. Evenrud Saturday, Dec. 11 at First Lutheran Church. Burial was in the Lutheran Cemetery, Pallbearers were Orlando Finholt, Dennis Ruen, Hayward Evenrud and Donald Evenrud. Mrs. William Kuhlman was organist and accomanied the congregation as they sang hymns. Funeral arrangements were made by Steine Funeral Home.

As Sarah M. Finholt, Mrs. Evenrud was born March 7, 1901 in Pleasant Townshipwhere she attended rural schools. She was married to Roy Evenrud at the First Lutheran Parsonage September 7, 1946. Her husband died May 29, 1959.

She is survived by a brother, Arthur Finholt of Decorah and a sister, Mrs. Clara Myrah, also of Decorah.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister.

Mrs. Evenrud was a member of First Lutheran Church.
