MADISON -Minnie N. Gulrud, age 97, died Sunday, February 7, 1999 at a local nursing home. Minnie was born on December 12, 1901 in Decorah, Iowa the daughter of Lars and Lena (Underdahl) Skaim.

She married Carl Gulrud in 1925 in Decorah, Iowa. Minnie was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church.

She is survived by three sons, Curtis M. (Evelyn) Gulrud of Madison, Oradell L. Gulrud of Madison, and Dale D. (Virginia) Gulrud of Sun Prairie; two daughters, Ann Marie (Edward) Damon of Madison and Marcia L. (Dwayne) Zimmerman of Cottage Grove; a daughter-in-law, Patricia Gulrud of Madison; 12 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; two half sisters, Lillian Carlsborg and Emma Tollefson and a half brother, Oscar Skaim all of Iowa; and many nieces and nephews.

Minnie was preceded in death by her husband Carl; and three sons Audrin in 1983, Spencer and Roger both in 1962.

Funeral services will be held at HOLY CROSS LUTHERAN CHURCH 1670 Milwaukee Street at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 10, 1999. Rev. Mark F. Bartels officiating. Burial in Roselawn Memorial Park. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 9, 1999 at the GUNDERSON FUNERAL HOME 5203 Monona Dr. The family would like to thank Dr. Daniel Marley, and the staff of St. Mary's Care Center for the loving care given to Minnie, in her years spent there.

Minnie Gulrud

Minnie Gulrud, 97, of Madison, Wis., died Sunday, Feb. 7, 1999, at a local nursing home.

Funeral services were held Wednesday Feb. 10, at 11 a.m., at the Holy Cross Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Mark Bartels officiating.

Burial was in the Roselawn Memorial Park. The Gunderson Funeral Home handled arrangements.

Minnie (Skaim) Gulrud was born Dec. 12, 1901, in Decorah, the daughter of Lars and Lena (Underdahl) Skaim. She married Carl Gulrud in 1925 in Decorah.

She was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church.

Survivors include three sons, Curtis and Evelyn Gulrud of Madison, Wis., Ordell Gulrud of Madison, Wis., and Dale and Virginia Gulrud of Sun Prairie, Wis.; two daughters, Ann Marie and Edward Damon of Madison, Wis., and Marcia and Duwayne Zimmerman of Cottage Grove, Wis.; a daughter-in-law, Patricia Gulrud of Madison, Wis.; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two half-sisters, Lillian Carlsborg and Emma Tollefson and a half-brother, Oscar Skaim, all of Iowa; and many nieces and nephews.
