A. C. Cline Interred Thursday

A. C. Cline, a retired farmer, died suddenly Monday, November 9 at his home near Castalia after suffering a heart attack. He was 72.

Funeral services were conducted Thursday at 3 p.m. by the Rev. Curtis Webster in the United Methodist church at Castalia. Burial was in the cemetery at Wadena, with grandsons serving as pallbearers.

A. C. Cline was born May 30, 1898 at Wadena, a son of the late John and Rosetta Cline. He obtained an education in the rural schools near his home.

For a number of years he operated a grocery store at Wadena. Later he farmed near Fayette and also in the Elgin vicinity before moving to a farm near Ossian in 1947. He moved to Castalia in 1949.

January 1, 1924, he married Floy Fox. They were the parents of four daughters, all of whom survive. They are Rosemary (Mrs. Donald Brockway) of Postville; Dorothy (Mrs. Robert Faust) of Centerville; Betty Cline of Waterloo and Leah (Mrs. Norbert Fettkether) of Oelwein.

Also surviving are his wife, 12 grandchildren, two great grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Madge Murray of Wadena.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Lawrence and Lewis Cline and two grandchildren, Richard and Marcia Fettkether.
