Contributor: Connie Ellis (Not related)Funeral services for Milton Virgil Huffman, 75, of Decorah, Iowa was held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 6 at the First Lutheran Church in Decorah with burial in the Lutheran Church Cemetery.
Milton Virgil Huffman, son of Frank and Gladys (Henderson) Huffman, was born June 30, 1936 in Monona, Iowa. Milton was married to Hazel Olson. They had three children, Faye, Linda, and Danny. On February 27, 1988 Milton married Pam Bolson at the First Lutheran Church in Decorah, Iowa. They had two children, Crystal and Jamie. Milton worked at the Cliff House Hotel, Usgaard Smith, Folkedahl's Station, mowed lawns, and worked for Decorah area farmers. Milton enjoyed working on cars, fishing, riding his bike, his dogs, WWE Wrestling, and going on vacations with his family at Clear Lake, Iowa.
Milton Virgil Huffman died Sunday, October 2, 2011 at the Gundersen Lutheran Hospital in LaCrosse, Wisconsin after a sudden illness. He is preceded in death by his parents, and his brothers and spouses, Eugene Huffman, Cyril Huffman, Don and Edith Huffman, Keith and Cathlyn Huffman, and Ronald Huffman in infancy; and a brother-in-law, Raphael Rea.
Milton is survived by his wife Pam of Decorah, Iowa; his children Crystal Huffman and Jamie Huffman, both of Decorah, Iowa, Faye (Steve) Hageman of Burr Oak, Iowa, Linda Poltiske of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Danny (Arlene) Olson, also of Minneapolis, Minnesota; 8 grandchildren, Clarissa Huffman, Nicole Kocian, David Kocian, Anthony Kocian, Bill Kocian, Jr., Christopher Olson, Amanda Olson, and Sarah Olson and 2 great-grandchildren, Anthony Kocian, Jr. and Michael Kime; 2 sisters, Joyce Rea and Helen (Bill) Mathis, all of Waukon, Iowa and 1 brother, Ralph Huffman of Waterloo, Iowa; 7 brothers and sisters-in-law, Sylvia Huffman of Waterloo, Iowa, Linda Steffes of Zumbrota, Minnesota, Kenneth Bolson, Jr. of Cresco, Iowa, Julie (Terry) Scheidel of Decorah, Iowa, Jane (Terry) Elsbernd of Decorah, Iowa, Wayne (Sue) Bolson of Cresco, Iowa, and Scott (Jill) Bolson of Decorah, Iowa; his mother and father-in-law, Kenneth and Grace Bolson of Decorah, Iowa in addition to many nieces and nephews.
