Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Friday, August 1 at St. Benedict's Church for Evelyn Molumby, age 77, of Decorah, Iowa. Right Rev. Msgr. Ed Lechtenberg officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery. Casket bearers were Kurt Huinker, Steve Huinker, Arnie Huinker, Dan Huinker, Gary Huinker, and Tom Wellick. French & Balik Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Evelyn Molumby was born March 9, 1920 in Cresco, Iowa to Arnold and Julia (Sloan) Huinker. She attended parochial school and high school in St. Lucas, Iowa. On June 5, 1948 she married James Molumby at St. Luke's Church in St. Lucas. They lived in Decorah, Iowa where she worked for J.C. Penney's. She was a member of St. Benedict's Catholic Church and the American Legion Auxiliary.

Evelyn died Tuesday, July 29, 1997 at her home in Decorah, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers, Luverne Huinker and Joseph Huinker.

Surviving are her husband, James; 2 children, Michael Molumby of Minneapolis, Minnesota and Mary Molumby of Albuquerque, New Mexico; and her brother, Eugene (Dorothy) Huinker of St. Lucas, Iowa.
