Funeral services were held for Emmons M. Moen, age 74, of Decorah, Iowa at 11 a.m. Friday, November 14 at French & Balik Funeral Home in Decorah with burial in Russell Cemetery, rural Decorah, Iowa.

Emmons was born on December 21, 1922 in Union Prairie Township, Allamakee County, Iowa to Paul and Charlotte (Blegen) Moen. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Curtis Moen and Austin Moen.

Emmons is survived by his wife, Esther *her maiden name and the marriage date was not given*; 2 sons, Bill Fitch of Dubuque, Iowa, and David Fitch of Decorah, Iowa, and a daughter, Georgene Fitch of Decorah, Iowa; 3 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; and 2 sisters, Rose Oyen of Decorah, Iowa and Doris Darrington of Spring Grove, Minnesota.
