E.K. Erickson: Died 23 March 1969

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Hesper Lutheran church for Edwin K. Erickson, 69, who died Sunday at Tweeten Memorial hospital in Spring Grove where he had been a patient three months. The Rev. Virus Stoffregen officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery.

He was born June 27, 1899 in Black Hammer township, Houston County, Minn., the son of Erick and Alletta (Larson) Erikson. On Nov. 19, 1934, he married Ida Klegseth of Hesper. They lived in the Hesper and Mabel area all their married life. Mrs. Erikson died March 3, 1966.

Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Kenneth (Eleanore) McConnel, Mabel; three grandchildren; two brothers, Earl, Eau Claire, Wis., Tilford Moen, Spring Grove; two sisters, Mrs. Marie Burke, Spring Grove and Mrs. Helen Pinta in California.

Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.

The Mengis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
