Funeral services for Carrie (Bolson) Hill, 85, of Decorah were held Tuesday, July 27 at Decorah Lutheran Church.

Carrie Hill died July 25 at the Postville Good Samaritan Center. She had lived in the Decorah, Postville and Waukon area all of her life.

Pastors Alden H. Hovda and John Pannkuk conducted final rites. Burial was in Glenwood South Cemetery.

Carrie (Bolson) Hill was born May 12, 1897 in Glenwood Township to Theodore and Ingborg (Brynsaas) Bolson. She received her education in the rural schools of Winneshiek County and belonged to the Lutheran Church.

She married George Hill Oct. 27, 1921 in a ceremony performed at her home. Her husband died Sept. 15, 1948.

Hill is survived by four children, Tilman Hill, Decorah, Howard Hill, Lansing, Grace (Mrs. Myron Erickson) Decorah and Bernell Decker, Waukon; 19 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and four sisters, Alma Torresdahl, Theresa Bolson, Julia Bolson and Lillian Bolson, all of Decorah.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers as well as her husband.
