Mrs. Harvey Rites Are Held
Mrs. Cora Harvey passed away July 14 in Castalia at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Earl Anderson. She was 86 years of age.
Funeral services were conducted July 17 by the Rev. Ernest Burch in the E. U. B. Church at Castalia. Burial was in the Bloomfield cemetery.
As Cora Leona Allen, she was born March 7, 1873, a daughter of Edward and Melissa Cooley Allen. She spent almost her entire life in Winneshiek county.
She was married March 7, 1894, to James A. Harvey and to their union were born eight children, six of whom survive. They are Lepha Crabtree of Austin, Minnesota, Fay of Wanatchee, Washington, Mrs. Harold Clough of Guttenberg, Mrs. Earl Anderson of Castalia, Ray of Whittier, California and Mrs. Otis Christofferson of Drakesville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and two sons, Harry and Wayne.
Also surviving are 24 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren, 14 great great grandchildren and two brothers and two sisters -- Charles of Chipley, Florida, George of Frankville, Mrs. George Crabtree of Waterloo and Mrs. Thomas L. Wheeler of Galesburg, Illinois.
