Harold Harvey

Harold Frank Harvey, son of Frank W. and Lela (Burrows) Harvey was born November 28, 1896 at Ossian, and passed away September 17, 1968 at his home. Mr. Harvey was a life-long resident of this community, having been born on the farm where he resided all his life. He was educated in the Castalia Public Schools and attended the Valder College at Decorah and Iowa State College at Ames. He was a veteran of World War I.

On December 22, 1923 he was united in marriage to Ethel Allen of Castalia. To this union was born two children -- Robert at home and Janet, Mrs. Stanley Olson, of Mount Vernon. Mr. and Mrs. Harvey were engaged in farming their entire married life. Mr. Harvey was preceded in death by his parents. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, son and daughter and one granddaughter, Carolyn Kay Olson.

Mr. Harvey's interests centered around his family and farming interests.

Funeral Services were from the Schmitz Funeral Home on Thursday, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Curtis H. Webster officiating. Burial was in the Bloomfield Cemetery.
