George Harvey Rites Are Held Sunday Afternoon

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock at the Evangelical United Brethren Church in Castalia for George C. Harvey, 46, who passed away at a hospital in Rochester following an illness of several months.

The rites were conducted by Rev. H. C. Snow. Burial was made at Castalia. The service was in charge of the Schutte Funeral home.

George C. Harvey, son of Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Harvey was born October 22, 1905 at Castalia. He died at Rochester, Minnesota following an illness which began in May of this year.

He was married to Lois Burns at Waukon on October 28, 1925. Four children were born to the union, three of whom survive the passing of their father.

He was educated in the school at Castalia. He lived on a farm near Castalia after his marriage until he moved to Lansing in 19?8 where he operated a cafe. He moved to New Albin in 1950 and operated a restaurant there also.

George Harvey is survived by his wife; mother; three children, Laverne G. Harvey, A. D. A. N., stationed at Norfolk, Virginia, Betty, (Mrs. Richard Manning) of Waterloo and Carol at home; a sister, Mrs. Herman Reckward of Castalia; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father in 1950, and a daughter Virginia Mae, who died in infancy.
