Funeral services were held Saturday, January 2, 1988 for Zeralda M. Sharp, age 79, of Des Moines, Iowa. The former Decorah, Iowa area resident died Tuesday, December 29, 1987 at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa. the 10:30 a.m. services were held at Fjelstul Funeral Home with the Rev. David W. Ash officiating. Burial was in the Russell Cemetery. Casket bearers were Gerald and Scott Harvey, Charlie Potter, John Wheeler, and Brian and David Zimmerman.

Zeralda was born January 27, 1908 in Decorah, Iowa to Glen B. and Mabel (Severson) May. She attended Decorah Schools. On March 12, 1924 she married Clyde Sharp in Decorah, Iowa. He died September 25, 1979.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two daughters and a grandson.

Surviving are three daughters, Gloria Carter of Des Moines, Iowa, Sally Zimmerman of Waukon, Iowa, and Nancy Griffin of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; 16 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
