Josie Olina (Anfinson) Kerr, age 103, died Thursday, July 16, 1987 at a home for the aged in Montevideo, Minnesota where she had been a resident since April 1. Funeral services were held Monday, July 20 in Montevideo with graveside services at Phelps Cemetery in Decorah, Iowa with Pastor Borreson of First Lutheran Church of Decorah officiating.

Aunt Jo, as she was known, was born May 1, 1884, the youngest of 12 children born to Sjur and Brita Anfinson of rural Decorah, Iowa. She was baptized and confirmed in the Big Canoe Lutheran Church. She married James Kerr. They lived in Minneapolis, Minnesota. After his death, she moved to Decorah, Iowa to the home of her sisters. The last 12 years, she had lived with her children, Louise Beamer of Idaho, Jim Kerr of Minneapolis, Minnesota and Jane Welsh of Montevideo, Minnesota.

She was preceded in death by her husband, all of her brothers and sisters, a granddaughter, and her parents.

She is survived by her children, other relatives and friends in Decorah, Iowa, Waukon, Iowa and Hesper, Iowa areas.
