Funeral services for Ronald A Moen, 40, owner of Ron's Standard Service Station in Decorah were held March 21 at 1:30 p.m. at First Lutheran Church.

Mr. Moen died March 18 at his place of business at 211 Montgomery.

Pastor Nelson F. Preus conducted the services. Organist was Florence Jowers, accompanying congregational singing. Hymns included "How Great Thou Art" and "What A Friend We Have In Jesus."

Burial was at the Lutheran Cemetery, with Fjelstul Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers were Mark Bohr, Brian Haugen, Lane Jarvis, Lyle Phillips, Michael Root and Duane Ruffridge. Honorary pallbearers were Merlin Bakken, Robert Bohr, Gordon Hellen, LeRoy McClintock, Orlando Moen and Gordon Sivesind.

Ronald Moen was born Aug. 16, 1947, in Waukon, the son of the late Arthur N. Moen and Marian H (Ruffridge) Moen of Spring Grove, Minn. He attended Waukon public schools. He married the former Linda Phillips May 21, 1966, at First Lutheran Church in Decorah.

He had worked for Bradley Auto Sales, Nelson Brothers Well Drilling, Burt Henning DX Station and at Ron's Standard Service. He was a member of the First Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his mother, his wife Linda, three children, Rhonda (Mrs. James) Monthy of Decorah and Jennifer and Leann at home; one granddaughter, Michelle Monthy; one brother, Ernest Moen of Blythe, Calif.; and two sisters, Mrs. Edward (Jeanette) Bohr of Ossian and Ruth Ann Haugen of Dubuque.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Ruffridge and Mr. and Mrs. Julius Moen, his father in 1974, and one brother, Dale Arthur in 1943

He died on Friday, March 18 *unknown but about 1988 or 1989* at his place of business, Ron's Standard Service Station, the cause of death is pending the medical examiner's report.

He is survived by his wife Linda of Decorah, Iowa, 3 daughters Rhonda Monthy of Decorah, Iowa, Jennifer Moen and Leann Moen, both at home; his mother, Marian Helma (Ruffridge) Moen of Spring Grove, Minnesota; a brother Ernest Moen of Blythe, California; 2 sisters, Jeanette Bohr of Ossian, Iowa and Ruth Ann Haugen of Dubuque, Iowa and a granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur N. Moen. Fjelstul Funeral Home of Decorah is in charge of arrangements.
