Funeral services were held Monday, November 28 for Edwin Klepper of Frankville, Iowa, who died Saturday, November 26, 1988 at the Community Memorial Hospital in Postville, Iowa. The Rev. James Elvig officiated at the 2 p.m. services held at the Frankville Community Presbyterian Church, in Frankville, Iowa. Burial was in the Frankville Cemetery. Schutte Funeral Services, Postville was in charge of arrangements. Casket bearers were Clinton Berg, Cletus Berg, Kenneth Klepper, Greg Schnuelle, Kevin Klepper, Ronnie Schnuelle, Mark Klepper, and Darin Schnuelle.

Edwin was born May 3, 1909 in Ludlow Township, Allamakee County, Iowa to Henry and Lydia (Henning) Klepper. He was baptized and confirmed at Salem United Church of Christ, rural Waukon, Iowa. On October 30, 1930 he married Ida Goeke and they lived on a farm in Ludlow Township. He was a member of Frankville Presbyterian Church and had worked as a carpenter most of his life.

Surviving are his wife, two sons, Curtiss of Frankville and Harlan of Waterloo, Iowa; two daughters, Mrs. Leo(Jean) Berg of Frankville and Mrs. Donald (Karen) Schnuelle of Castalia, Iowa; 15 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and a sister-in-law, Inez Klepper of Freeport, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Elmer Klepper and Eldo Klepper.
