Francis J. Drew, 80, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa died Monday, December 4, 1989 at Mercy Medical Center. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, December 7, 1989 at St.Matthew's Catholic Church. The Rev. John McTarsney officiated and burial was in Mount Calvary Cemetery with military services by VFW Post 788. Stewart Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Casket bearers were Walter and Brian Drew, Tom Collins, Bill O'Malley, Dean Drew, and Chalmar Wall.

Francis was born June 23, 1909 in Decorah to Frank and Margaret (Griffin) Drew. He married Mildred Dye, who died in 1974. He was a member of St. Matthew's Church and VFW Post 788.

Survivors include a stepson, Darwin Kielbur of Graettinger, Iowa, a step-daughter Darlene Stormer of Gillett Grove, Iowa; two brothers, Cyril of Decorah and Paul of Waukon, and three sisters, Marie Collins of McGregor, Lewine Peck of Yucaipa, CA and Pearl Dodge of Twentynine Palms, CA.
