Grant Redwing, 76, Mabel, died Tuesday, July 3, 1990, at Spring Grove, MN.

He was born December 5, 1913 in Newburg Township to Gustav and Lena (Brenna) Redwing. He attended rural school.

On September 5, 1936, he married Evelyn Anderson at Riceford, MN. They farmed in the Mabel area until their retirement in 1970, when they moved to Mabel. Grant was involved in various community activities and an active member of the Garness Lutheran Church, rural Mabel.

Survivors in addition to his wife are four sons, Darwin, Rockford, Il, Gary, Chatfield, MN, Gerald, Hastings, MN, Dennis, Charlotte, NC; two daughters Lynette Stortz, La Crosse, WI, Loretta Lillegraven, Mabel; ten grandchildren, one brother, Lester, one sister, Verna Peterson of Mabel. One brother preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 6 at Garness Lutheran Church with Rev. Lane Zaffke officiating. Internment will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Thursday, July 5 at Mengis Funeral Home, Mabel, and from 10 - 11 a.m. on Friday, July 6 at Garness Lutheran Church.
