Mrs. Lena Redwing, 88, died Monday evening at Green Lea manor Nursing Home where she had resided the past few years.

The former Lena Brenna, she was born in Leksvik, Norway, Sept. 28, 1881, the daughter of Elias and Lorense (Tommerdahl) Brenna. At the age of 12, she came to the United States, settling in the Hesper vicinity. Here she attended rural school.

On March 27, 1907, she married Gustav A. Redwing. They spent their married life farming until Oct. 1958, when they moved to Mabel. Mr. Redwing died Jan. 26, 1961. She was a member of Garness Trinity Lutheran Church and its ALCW.

Survivors are three sons, Alvin, Lester, Grant of Mabel; one daughter, Mrs. Edwin (Verna) Peterson, Mabel; 16 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one Brother, Julius of Mabel.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Garness Trinity Lutheran Church. The Rev. N.K. Estrem will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
