Here is the Obituary for Gust Redwing, 1961: Gust Redwing, 76, died at midnight Thursday at Lutheran Hospital, La Crosse, where he had been a patient, five weeks. He was born Jan. 15, 1885, on a farm near here, son of Alf and Berit Redwing. He spent his entire life in this area, farming until two years ago when he moved into town. On March 27, 1907, he married Lena Brenna.

Survivors are: His wife; three sons, Alvin, Lester, and Grant, Mabel, one daughter, Mrs. Edwin (Verna) Peterson, Mabel; 16 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Seven brothers and five sisters have died. The funeral will be Sunday at 3 p.m. at Trinity Garness Lutheran Church, rural Mabel, the Rev. James Narveson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
