Here is the Obituary of Edward Brenna, 27 Aug. 1959: Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at the Mabel First Lutheran Church for Edward Brenna, 82, who died at his home here Thursday evening. The Rev. David Lee will officiate. Burial will be in the Hesper Lutheran cemetery.

Mr. Brenna was born in Norway Jan. 27 1877. At the age of 20 years he came to the United States, settling in Minnesota. On Oct. 12, 1904 he married Mathilda Usgaard. They established their home on a farm south of Hesper where they lived for 15 years, later moving to a farm near Mabel.

Survivors are his wife; one son, Leonard, Mabel; four daughters, Mrs. Leroy Hellikson, Minneapolis, Mrs. Allen LeSage, Birmingham, Mich., Mrs. Ronald Dahl, Mabel, Mrs. Gerald Kittelson, Crescent City, Calif.; 14 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. James Smalley and Mrs. Gust Redwing of Mabel, and one brother, Julius, Decorah, Iowa.
