The obituary for Harry Lommen as written in the Mabel Record, 1 Sept, 1977

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Trinity Lutheran church in Spring Grove for Harry Lommen, 74, who died Tuesday, August 23, at his home. The Rev.Oscar E. Engebretson officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery. He was born January 11, 1903, at Spring Grove, the son of Peter and Marie (Runningen) Lommen.

He farmed in the Spring Grove area all his life, and was a member of Trinity Lutheran church. On October 17, 1929, he married Stella Aasum at Mabel.

Survivors are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Martin (Margaret) Ranzenberger, Caledonia, Mrs. Everett (Lois) Sollien, Mabel; 10 grandchildren; two brothers, James, Spring Grove, Clarence, Caledonia; four sisters, Mrs. Ephraim (Cora) Foss, Spring Grove, Mrs. Gerhard (Stella) Klein, Caledonia, Mrs. Calmer (Ruth) Ekker and Mrs. Bennie (Thora) Aasum, both of Mabel. He was preceded in death by one brother and a sister.
