Odell Aasum, 73, of Mabel, died Friday, Nov. 17, 1995 at the Lutheran Home in Caledonia. He was born on June 15, 1922, in Winneshiek County, IA, the son of James and Esther (Nelson) Aasum. He attended the Hesper School. He was a heavy equipment operator on road construction. He was a member of the Hesper Lutheran Church.

Survivors are one sister, Darlene (Mrs. Paul) Baker of Mabel; one niece Gretchen (Mrs. Kenneth) Anderson of Spring Grove, and one nephew, Darrin Baker of Mabel, and two great nephews, Kevin and Brian Anderson.

Mengis Funeral Home, Mabel, was in charge of arrangements.
